Customer Success Manager

Position Title: Manager – Customer Success GST (Indirect Taxation)

Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to manage a team of professionals responsible for handling GST-related clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in indirect taxation, with extensive knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws, compliance, and advisory services. This role will involve overseeing client relationships, leading a team, and ensuring timely and accurate service delivery for all GST-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of GST professionals, ensuring high standards of performance, productivity, and client service.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, provide updates on industry developments, and address any challenges.
  • Train team members on new GST-related updates, tools, and technologies to enhance their technical expertise.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure all GST compliance and reporting requirements are met within statutory deadlines.
  • Identify and mitigate any potential risks associated with GST compliance for clients.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in GST regulations, laws, and policy changes.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Review current GST processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Implement best practices and new tools for efficient GST compliance and client service delivery.
  • Develop and standardize internal procedures to ensure smooth operations and adherence to deadlines.
  1. Client Communication & Reporting:
  • Prepare periodic reports and presentations for senior management and clients.
  • Ensure clients are regularly updated on any changes to GST laws or procedural changes.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: CA, CMA, or equivalent qualification with a focus on indirect taxation (preferable). Alternatively, a Master’s in Taxation or Finance with relevant experience in GST.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect taxation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of GST laws, compliance requirements, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with GST-related software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
  • Leadership Skills:
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, ensuring clear communication and goal alignment.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Desirable:

  • Experience in handling large clients with complex GST needs.
  • Knowledge of automation tools or software related to tax compliance.
